So nice lady says I don't photograph very well so another nice lady, named Lisa Teso, came out and took my picture.  We had a lot of fun and I got tons of treats.  Check them out!!

Life in the easy lane

Foster life has been pretty nice and I can only imagine what life will be like in my furrever home!  I'm a pretty laid back gal and really enjoy our routines, it makes life easy for little miss Nena.  I get fed twice a day, I get to go on a nice walk with my foster siblings every day, there is always time to snuggle and to go to 'school' where I learn fun things.  Okay, well I don't really go to school but Nice Lady and Nice Mister have taught me how to sit, how to lay down and we are working on shake, on your bed and maybe roll over since I love to roll on my back for belly rubs!

I get to hang out with Po and Remi every day now and I luuvvee it!  Po is kind of a bed hog but us girls don't mind because he's pretty handsome and we enjoy snuggling with him!

Remi and I get to hang out a lot too, she's actually a bit taller than me which she thinks makes her my big sister but I am older than her so I guess that just means we're even.

We've been getting a little bit of sun here and there and I LOVE to sunbath, even if it's through a window.

Nice Lady says I'm doing really good in the house and that I will make the PERFECT best friend for that perfect person out there that is waiting for me, they just don't know it yet.  I will be at PetSmart this coming Sunday for an adoption event, I can't wait to show everyone how nice and sweet I am.  You should come say hi, I'll be there from 12-4 at the PetSmart on 82nd and Johnson Creek.

PS - I have a fun name song, it goes Nena Nena bo Bena banana fanna fo Fena mi my mo Mena NEENNAA!  Nice Lady signs it to me all the time, I really like it!

The many sides of Nena

People look at me and think they have me all figured out.  You see, they see my fur and my big head and my muscular body and think they know me.  But just like people don't like to be judged based on first appearances, neither do us dogs!  You see what people miss out on when they make a snap judgement about me is that I am a really sweet girl, sometimes playful, most of the time laid back and always helpful around the house!  So, I thought I would show everyone some pictures and videos of me that show my different sides.

First, sweet!  Here is a video of me encouraging Nice Lady during her workout.  She was working really hard and I thought that if I gave her a kiss for each sit-up she did she would feel better.  I'm pretty sure it worked!

Next up, my playful side.  I LOVE to dance to good music, let me show you my sweet dance moves!

I also have an inquisitive side.  Here I am watching all the people, animals and cars that go by!

Washing Dishes and PB Kongs

So I think I've adjusted to life as a spoiled house dog pretty well. Nice Lady says I am doing much better on walks, that I'm still the best snuggler and apparently thought my method of tackling peanut butter kongs was pretty funny. I don't see what's so weird about it, what do you think?

I guess you can lay down but this just seemed like a better leverage point to ensure that thing didn't get away from me!

After a delicious peanut butter kong I figured I should probably help Nice Lady out with some household chores.  After all, I am the oldest dog in this house so figured I'd show my younger foster siblings how to help out.  Here I am helping with the dishes!

Next up I think I'll help with the vacuuming and sweeping...now if only I could figure out how to grow some thumbs!

Settling In

Life as a foster dog has been pretty great.  I'm still settling in to the Gill household and look forward to being able to play with my foster brother and sister.  For now we go on plenty of walks together and work on properly greeting each other.  Foster sister and I did really well on this yesterday and got to spend some off leash time together in the back yard, it was so fun!!

Nice lady told me I was going to have my very own Piteo (I'll post as soon as it is available!).  So I thought I would practice by putting on some fairy wings and showing off my sweet side!

I was told my pictures make me look a lot bigger than I really am.  I guess it's true that the camera adds 10 lbs!  I am truly a pocket pit, weighing in at about 55 lbs.  I am short to the ground and would be a PERFECT house dog.  Speaking of being a house dog, I have great house manners!  I've NEVER had an accident in the house, I love going in my crate and tend to sleep on the dog beds when I'm not busy looking sweet and giving snuggles.

Yes, I sleep alot.  Who wouldn't when you have a nice cozy bed and quite place to relax!  Sure beats the shelter ANY DAY!

Nice Lady says I have a photo shoot coming up as well as my bio and my big movie debut with my piteo!  This will all help people see how sweet and cute and pocket sized I am!  I sure can't wait to find my furever home!!
